KIRCHHOFF Automotive require a Quality Control Engineer for their Letterkenny, Co Donegal base.

Reporting to: Quality and Engineering Manager
Purpose:
The Quality engineer shall be responsible for the continued development, maintenance and implementation of the company’s quality systems, and maintain certification to: IATF16949, and all other statutory and regulatory standards applicable.
To ensure that customer quality and customer specific requirements are adequately defined and that all requirements are met.
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Ensures that the quality standards of products are achieved and maintained
- Assists with relative internal and external audits
- Manages and liaises with customers and vendors through customer complaint process
- Supports in the development of the company’s quality programme
- Identifies and priorities policies and objectives necessary to achieve and maintain satisfactory quality standards and quality costs
- Ensures that all test methods and specifications used in the quality control department are appropriate for the intended purpose
- Manage and support new part launch / PPAP sample process
- Undertake training and travel as required
- General quality assistance to all departments
- Co-operate with management in the smooth and efficient running of operations
- Liaise with central project teams within the KIRCHHOFF group
Qualifications
- A third level qualification in an Engineering or Science background and/or have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quality role
- Experience or Knowledge of IAFT16949, ISO 9000, is a strong advantage
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable

- Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Candidates must be proficient in English language
