Donegal Town businesswoman Stella McGroarty has announced her upcoming retirement, and with it, the closure of her ‘Stella’ sustainable fashion store.
Stella has been championing conscious style since opening her shop on Castle Street eight years ago.
In a message to customers, Stella said the new season heralds great change as she steps away from retail and closes the doors at the end of the month.
“September has arrived and with it, the end of one season and beginning of another!” she said.
“For me, it’s the end of a very enjoyable career at Stella Boutique and the beginning of another journey known as Retirement!
“It will take some adjusting but I’m happy to give it a go and I’m looking forward to the adventure.”
“My plan is to cease trading at the end of this month (Sept). Everything on the shop floor is reduced and whatever remains by 30th will be boxed and shipped off to my chosen charity shop.”
Those who have vouchers are asked to redeem them as soon as possible.
Stella Boutique has been a go-to destination for those seeking stylish and eco-friendly clothing. The stock features a range of carefully-sourced contemporary pieces made with sustainable materials, supporting fair trade practices and ethical production.
Ahead of the closure, Stella invites anyone who has never visited Stella Boutique before to call in and “start your shift towards a more sustainable future”.
McGroarty, originally from County Roscommon, is an active member of the Donegal Women in Business Network and a dedicated supporter of local charity events.
